Why are you using *melit-ih2 as an example of *-tt-?

PS By the way: in my opinion as the list's moderator, Marius has not
used any unfair tricks in his exchange with you. Addressing a discussant
with his first name at the beginning of a reply is not forbidden on
Cybalist. Marius has often begun his posts to other people in this way
("George,...", "Piotr,...", etc.), and I really can't see why this
should be regarded as offensive or otherwise reprehensible. -- P.
