I started by assuming that kY > c^ > tT > T in Alb.
but ts in Rum. If it had become *ts in the
protolanguage, it would have merged with other
examples of ts from dentals in various positions and
combinations.

Then I needed to explain why *wikY- > z-.
Metathesis (which appears fairly common in the path to
Albanian) would explain it since there are other
changes of a fric. before w.

Since *wu- is usually changed in most IE languages
where it develops an intermediate change of *wi- >
*wu- seemed reasonable (possibly also *Cwi- > *Cyi-,
etc.)

I believe initial *(d. > d.z. > t.s. > ts before a
V) in Armenian, so a similar change in a more
restricted environment in Alb. seemed possible. Since
retroflex C's are formed by K() and r and often change
to fricatives, affricates, or r. in many IE branches
an intermediate change of t > t. before w seemed best.
The voicing of s > z would then also cause ts > dz.

With dz as an intermediate it must therefore be
preserved after n. If so, with wi > yi (above) it
could be preserved before y as well (so as not to
merge with earlier dy > dzYy, etc.)
