Never take a tongue-in-cheek remark literally. Surely Colin Renfrew
isn't Turkish and the late Marija Gimbutiene wasn't Russian, Ukrainian
or Kazakh (nor are Mallory, Kortlandt and other supporters of the
various versions of the Kurgan hypothesis).
