Particles

There's an article I'm reading that discusses, among other things, the
use of the particle *mos
(e.g. *mos kwis so u? ~= Which one is it?)

I know that the "kwis" is the question-marker for accusative, and "so"
would be the object [right?], but what's the "u"?
