Then, how does the assumption of "dominant root acute" exclude the
existence of pre-Dybo barytones with post-tonic acutes? All I was saying
was that _if_ the root contains a sufficiently old acute vowel it
receives stress at the expense of an acuted derivational suffix through
a kind of "long retraction".
