Yesterday I was studying some of the aspects of the Gandharva mythology among IE, trying to find some common traits that improve a definition of their PIE  source.
The Gandharvas seems to be sensual, libidinous, wild, hairy, half-beast (there are traits of goat, werewolf, centaur, satyr), guardians to a sacred tree or divine water, rapid, violent, skilled in Medicine, plants, fertility. In Persia there are also links with underwater monsters, and I suspect may be a coalescence with Apam Napat myths.
Gandharvas could be originally werevolves, derivatives in Iranian languages show the meanings of werewolf, she-wolf, and Latin has the Luperci.
Indian Gandharvas are associated to Apsaras, water-nymphs, and perhaps in Vedic times they were not a collective, but an individual creature.
Gandharvas were the companions of Varuna-Asura, like Berserkir of Odin-Áss, Kentauroi/Satyroi of Dionysos.

Oh, I undestand. Linking them to Gandharva/Gandar&va/Kentauros seems unplausible to me, now.

Thanks Piotr

Slavic *godi is the plural of *godU 'suitable time, special event'
(something that people look forward to), hence a multitude of secondary
meanings like 'important annual festivities, holiday', 'feast, banquet,
wedding-party (as in your quotation)', '(end of the) year, Yule season'
etc. The exact meaning varies from place to place, depending on the
local traditions.

Note also the derivatives: *godina 'the time (of sth.); hour; year',
*goditi 'reconcile, please, aim (etc.)', *godInU 'worthy, suitable'.
Cognates with a lengthened vowel occur in Baltic (Lith. guo~das
'worship, hospitality' , Latv. gu`ods 'banquet, wedding') and Germanic
(*Go:ða- 'good').
