But there is: znam, znasz; umiem, umiesz. These two verbs
merely happen to be given as examples, but there is nothing
in the text ("Gramatyka historyczna je,zyka polskiego",
Stansisl/aw Rospond) to suggest that the situation was any
different in any of the other -aje- en -êje- verbs wich give
rise to the innovated Polish -am and -em conjugations. I
haven't studied any old texts, so I'm not in a position to
confirm that.
