Hey, guys, stop it finally! I'm really tired of having
to read a thread that has become far more political
than linguistic. Could you, please, adhere to
linguistic argumentation, only? Well, you might
disagree, but this is (predominantly) a forum on IE
linguistics. What counts are linguistic arguments and,
possibly, extra-linguistic arguments that support
them.
I don't really care about your confessions, faiths or
gods, parties, nationalities, grannies' names, number
of eyes and tentacles - not that I don't have any -
they happen to be irrelevant here (or should be, if it
weren't a political forum). What I'm really curious
about is the proof, the evidence, the facts - examples
and counter-examples.
And, in addition, could you, please, cite or
reformulate the ideas you refer to rather than just
give the links to them, saying "visit this" or "look
at that"? It's a bit inconvenient.
I don't think we should get rid of any members or
whatever MKelkar meant. Just...everyboidy calm down,
use your heads, refine your arguments and discuss
them. The best defence against an offence is both - no
reaction to it and, at the same time, solid linguistic
argumentation.
Whoever disagrees with me, feel free to contact me
directly. I don't wanna burden this list with politics
any more (moreover, there has been a good portion of
truth on both sides ;-), in my opinion).
