For sure Alb. <i amëshoum> 'eternal' should be from <i moshoum> 'aged, old' (cf. Lat. aetas 'age', but <aeternus> 'eternal'). Same formation I see also in Sl. <vek>, but adj. <vec^an> 'eternal'.
