No. The surviving -dh- in such cases is either an old affricate (i.e. *3
from *g^ or *g^H), which was not deleted, or a *d analogically restored
before a suffix. There are many disyllabic forms with the loss of
intervocalic *d, cf. Lat. vadu- --> Alb. va 'ford'.
