yourself. Let me repeat again: I believe Alb. m. /dy/ comes from
Roman-time *du: resulting from the contraction of an earlier disyllabic
form. Similar contractions with the same result can be found in
pronominal forms such as acc. ty 'thee' < *tu: < *tuwe:m (vel sim.), but
with unrounding in the nom. ti < (uncontracted) *tu:.
