Can it be that name Alkyoeus is misspeling of Alkonius?
Baltic word ALKA, meaning SACRED PLACE, > name Alkonis, meaning "son
of alka" > name Alkonius?
Compare with name Alkmene (ALKA + MENA, meaning IS REMEMBERING) the
mother of Hercules and wife of Radmantas (Rhadmantus).
