Alguns observac,ões gerais:
Is Portugal specially rich in reptiles?
A low-frequency word "colubra", even coming to design legless reptiles
in general, will remain relatively low-frequent. Even in India.
Perhaps João can provide us with more examples of low-frequency
telescoping from Latin to Portuguese?
Isn't intensity of accent of a certain period more important than
frequency itself. And very frequent words tend to get weak
accentuation, don't they?
