Oh, there are more species (several hundreds!) of the genus Rubus which live
in Poland (and in nearby countries), see
http://www.atlas-roslin.pl/gatunki/Rubus.htm (click on the names for
photos).
The name "malina" is used only towards to those with red fruits while
"jezyna" - to those with black fruits. A very similar naming is in Russian.
