I have before me the 1932 revision of the IPA chart. Under
the heading "uvular" are listed the stops q and G, the nasal
N, the rhotic R, the fricatives X and R*. The same sounds
are given as "uvulaires" in Passy and Jones "Organic
Alphabet" of 1907.
