Correction: I just looked again and I see that a groove
was formed in the back of the tongue only for a uvular
trill, which I tried out at the same time, but not for
the fricative. The pronunciation of the fricative seems
to involve a rounded, not furrowed, hump forming in the
back of the tongue and pressing up against the uvula.
The uvula is still bent forward, however, and involved
in obstructing the air flow.
