which makes me think at the other form which exist in Rom.
as "grãunte/grãuntsã". The Latin "granum" is a
questionable etymon for Rom. "grâu" since the lost of "n"
is unusual _and_ for Latin "granum" there is Rom. "grâne"
which is not the plural of "grâu" but the collectiv denomination
for cereals. Thus, for Rom. "grâu" the word *g'r.u: will fit the
best. It remains just for my curiosity to find out which should be
the form which yelded out the "grãunte/grãuntsã" since
trough these two words one means simply the fruit of the plant,
"der kern an sich" and not the plant, plant which is called
"grâu"
