I think that the derivation is OK. PIE *eg'hs- > Alb. ith 'behind'
due to eCC > iCC. For semantism you have Sl. <iza> 'id.'. I found
also plausible Barich's etymology of Alb. <bithë> 'backside, anus',
with bemolized /i/ > /y/ due to bilabial /b/ as a prefixed form of
mbë- 'on' and <ith> 'behind' (cf. Serbo-Croatian <zadnjica> (cf.
German <hinten>'behind', hinter 'anus').
