1. Do you have some attested examples that reflect this transition?
otherwise what you say is pure speculation...because when I take a
look on the French, Italian or Spanish and their unstreseed pronouns...

2. In addition this explanation doesn't explain in any way the
Romanian situation ....

But at least it opens the way for the following approach: that
finally Italian and Romanian -i at 2nd sg. were distinct processes...
