How is that to be reconciled with the durative-only status of the root
*H1es- 'be'? And of *H1ed- 'eat'? I can see they do not begin with d-,
but what relevance could that have? And if you insist on disregarding
anything following the first consonant after the root vowel you do not
get very many roots at all, and so you are liable to formulate
shortsighted generalizations of no real bearing on the language.
