A real mixture of roots here! I presume 'filottolemos' is a typo for
_philop(t)olemos_, from _p(t)olemos_ 'war'. Latin _bellum_ 'war',
which has the archaic doublet _duellum- (> English _duel_) is also a
separate root.

Unlikely! I hope _bolo_ isn't a mistake for _balam_! I couldn't find
it in the dictionary, and _bul_ means 'sink'. PIE *bHel would yield
Sanskrit *bHal-.
