specifically with Indo-European roots, will be more detailed and

might be familiar with this book and could tell me what they think of
it, if it's accurate, if it's more detailed than the version in the
back of AHDs, etc. I'd greatly appreciate this. Alternatively, if
anyone knows of a similar book, I'd be glad to hear of it.
Thanks.***Patrick writes:The book is virtually the same as what is found in the dictionary.It is probably as accurate as any other on the subject except that it does not indicate 'laryngeals'; but from the entries, they can be mentally filled in just as they can be from Pokorny.For study in greater depth, you need Pokorny or something even newer. AHD conveniently references the items in Pokorny under which their own entries are discussed.Patrick***
