I think that in Albanian we found the same treatment not only for
the outset of cluster *sn- > /n/, but also for the outset of cluster
*sm- > /m/: *smek-ra > Alb. mjekër `chin, beard' (cf. Het. zamankur,
Skr. s'mas'ru, Arm. mawruk', Lit. smakras `id.', Pokorny *smek-968).
It's not different story if this cluster is in coda and even if its
nature is secondary: *es-mi > jam `(I) am' (Pokorny *es – 340); Alb.
sh•krum `char, cinder'< *krus-mo (Pokorny *kreu1-621).
