The original construction of 'lykkes' (like 'synes' etc) is with a
dative (which isn't marked as such) 'det er lykkedes mig ...'. Danish
has kept that, while Norwegan and Swedish have progressed to the
more 'modern' nominative-construction: 'Vi har lykkes med ...', 'Vi
har lyckats med ...'
