The failure of this particular metathesis is regular in
Pomeranian/Kashubian dialects and sporadically found throughout Poland
in placenames and personal names (more frequently in the north). There
were several Pomeranian dukes with that name, and one Warcislaw is known
to have been an official at the court of Duke Konrad of Mazovia in the
13th century.
