what a pitty when one does not compare with the original Greek source. In my
source this is given with "i" as "Nix" where I suppose it is an adaptation
of ancient "y" which later became "i"? If I should have had compare, the
question of "i" in "nyx" should have been answered by itself. OK, so there
is no problem with Nyx versus "nux" being one and the same thing, and
meaning "night".
How you say, Leiden is down, one cannot see any example of Pokorny for #1591
*regWos

Regarding "Erebus", Dan see it related to hebraic "ereb" (night) which will
fit from the meaning. But id this is an older "*Serebus" which became
"*Herebus", "Erebus" in Greek? The meaning of evening will be there in
"Sere-" as lin Latin "sera".
