I think your argument was that the semantic process (from "cover" to
"house") was not attested outside Celtic and perhaps Cretan. Even if the
Latin word is not the commonest one, it is common enough to suggest there's
nothing wrong with the semantics. Of course, I may have misunderstood the
discussion.
