the only diphtongation rule in Rom:
"o" > "oa" and "e" > "ea" when in next syllable an "e" or an "ã"
follows.
since the word was an *ghetsa one can just have "gheatsã" and nothing
else.

Interesting should be the question: why plural in "-uri" and not in
"-e" ?
Mr Stanca came with a lot of examples where feminine words which ends
in "-tsã" make the plural in "-uri".
But words as "viatsã" (life) does not make the plural in "-uri",
either in "-e" but as masculine nouns in "-i", hence the plural is
"vietsi".
