Yup, that's why Spanish word "chato" `flat shaped (nose, object)`
is assumed to have made it in the language from an intermediary
Portuguese (or Gallician); of course, it reflects the same Latin
"plattus" as Spanish inherited "plato" `dish`, `plate`.
