I don't think there is much possibility in denying the existence
of *H1 in *?sont-, *?su-, *?dont-, etc. and it is vocalized
in Anatolian afterall. However, I'm just trying to bring to
attention the possibility that things weren't necessarily the
same before Syncope had occured and that instances of *h1 in
initial position before a vowel could have been automatic,
unlike what we see in IE itself.
