No. I mean, yes according to Szemerényi, but in fact no.

The -s is lost after -n-, -r-, -y-, -m- and -s- itself (-l is unclear).
But -s stays elsewhere (e.g. -wo:ts, -o:ds, -e:us/-o:us, etc.), and we
still get lengthening.
