Yes it grieves me to have to stab Bomhard in the back. No, seriously,
some of his roots might be loans, some not (I've said that variously
in three postings now, gotta stop before I annoy Glen). Whether PFU
inherited it from Nostratic or it is a loanword there, I don't know,
but I seem to recall some of Bomhard's roots being the same as some
of those explained as PIE loans to PFU or Baltic Finnic by
Koivulehto. Which should increase their chances of being cultural
wanderwords of non-IE origin.
