Kuhn has 'Weide'. I looked it up. It has:
1) willow
2) land for grazing
So you're right. My German is getting rusty.

Kuhn does write 'sapi:re'. My Latin Dictionary program doesn't know
it either, so you are probably right. Maybe <sapio>, <sapivi> threw
him.
