Hello Piotr,
Please help me again with some arguments regarding the proposed
timeframes presented by you in Albanian (1) and (3) :
1) in Albanian (1) You wrote :
" A B C D E
------------------------------
*k' > *c' > *c > *T > T
*g' > *3' > *3 > *D > D ~ d "
Let's label stage A "pre-Albanian", stage B "Early Proto-
Albanian", stage C "Late Proto-Albanian" (approximately the time of
close interaction between Proto-Albanian and Balkan Latin) "
Q1) Please add some examples (or some arguments) that shows
that : *c > *T and *3 > *D ended at the end of Balkan Latin period.
Q2) What is the start moment of stage B (in years)? Before the
Romans arrivals in Balkans? How you justify it, regardinmg the above
transformations?
2) in Albanian (3)
"Before Late Proto-Albanian (i.e. in pre-Roman times) *s underwent
voicing prevocalically in stressed syllables but remained voiceless
elsewhere (unless already lost). "
Q3) Being on pre-roman times we can have only some examples from
greek? Or it's a logical inference regarding later develpments? Could
you explain the above assertion, too?
Thanks a lot and again for your help.
