mia culpa. rivus has long "i:" thus, no /E/;

thus, with other words the famous "E" is just in fact the iotacised "ie".

the palatal glide should undergone the same change as normal "i". It can be
my ignorance but I don't know about any grieu. Or do you intended to write
*grieeu?
