All this metathetic business is too wild and too bad for my taste. As
for the derivation of <dergj->, the recipe for a causative is as
follows: take a root (*swergH-), make it an o-grade (*sworgH-) and add
the suffix (*-eje/o-), lost in Modern Albanian but leaving umlaut of the
root vowel as its trace (*sworgeje- > *zvärgi- > *Dergj- > dergj-). Of
course the o-grade produces also other derivatives, including deverbal
nouns. This doesn't mean that the causative itself is denominal.
