Another Church Slavonicism. As Trubetzkoy noted, Standard Russian is half
Church Slavonic.

_dragój_ is a hybrid form: a Church Slavonic root ({drag-}) styled with a
"proper" Russian (= dialectal East Slavic) ending (thus a hybrid of Ru.
_dorogój_ and CS _dragij_ (OCS _dragyjI_, *dorgUjI)).
