CenuSã basically means `ashes`. Out of that it can mean `cinders`.
For "ashes", most used nowdays is "cenuSã", "scrum" mostly on
rom-smokers list. :-)

The only two I left there deserve further discussion (actually
"mare" was recently discussed so there is nothing to add; for
"mic" it is debatable if it's directly from Greek or from the
unattested VL "*miccus" to be related with Sicilian "nicu" `id.`).
The other "L" signs belong to the same guy having written on
Wed May 1, 2002: <dpdv al lingvisticii sunt un absolut null, ceea
ce am citit fiind nimic altceva decat insuficient>, now making
"value judgements" on etymologies without necessary background;
of course, for these ohter words there is no need of any comment.
