You can't rely on Albanian evidence for stress placement too much (for
example, causative verbs of the *{o-grade root}-eje- type developed root
stress in Albanian, but the Albanian numerals preserve the original
location of stress:

*septm.' + -t(i)- + -a: > *s(&p)tá-t& > shtatë
*ok^tó: + -t(i)- + -a: > *(&)tø'-t& > tetë
*dék^m. + -t(i)- + -a: > *diä'þ&-t& > *ðiet& ~ *ðie&t& (haplology and/or
contraction, sandhi modification of the onset) > dhjetë ~ dhíetë
