In the posting that started it all, no. 25929 of Sept. 21, you are
telling us in no uncertain terms that Sanskrit keeps original
apophonic *o distinct from original *H3e, leaving no room for
anybody to doubt that this is a doctrine you fully endorse. In the
course of our discussion I have been trying to track down what that
view can really be based on. If your later detached posture toward
the matter reflects a modification of your opinion, I fully respect
that, but so far then you have been the only one to know.
