I think that you are wrong. As far as I know, PIE cluster /gn/, /g^n/
in Albanian yields /nj/. *g^ne:sco > njoh 'to know' (cf. regarding
the evolution *g^ > in Satm languages: Zend-Avesta or Slavic znati),
but prefixed form *n-g^no-tos- > i ngatë 'known' (cf. Lat. gnotus,
Sl. poznanik 'id.'). See also archive about *ogni, according to C.
Babaev or with initial syllabic nasal, according to P. Gasiorowski.
