It's from Latin soróres, the plural ending -es early replaced by -i, and
then *soróri > surori regularly.

Latin nurus (u-stem), VLat norus > noru > nor, feminine ending -ã added as
in sorã. The plural was copied from sorã (Lat. u-stem plurals have nor
survived in Romance).

No, it's correct. What's pure phantasy is to think that însura is related
to "sister". I don't think incestuous marriages were ever the norm among
Romanians.
