Thracian (Includes Dacian), a Northern IE language?

I've been thinking, could THRACIAN (incl. Dacian, Getic etc.) be a "Northern" dialect of IE - being joined by Germanic, and Balto-Slavic. I've been seeing many similarities with the cultures -- -- e.g. Thracian "Semele" = Slavic "Zemilja". I'm not a linguist or anything, so my opinions are entirely theoretical. Could anyone help me on this... I'm really interested in the roots of my culture..
