If that *skuet- is supposed to have been pronounced
[skwet] (i.e. no [u] there), then I'm afraid we won't
be able to... "scuturate" any useful link for the
Romanian language -- a language to which [w] is a
consummate foreign, exotic, sound; that's why the
average Romanian pronounces "week-end" as [uj-kend] :)
