Yes, this is the main hypothesis. The next one is
COLLATIO. Both of them are quite old hypotheses.
A third one refers to the meaning "log" in connection
with the solstice fire or so. (I don't know whethere
there are few or many people attracted by speculations
re. the 3rd hypothesis; I only heard a Romanian scholar,
Cicerone Poghirc, talk of it on the radio.)
