It does not seems so strange. Actually it seems to continue an old
pre-christian tradition of calling the gods with the appelative "Domn"
For example:

Rossi, Roma sotterr. III 431
"Domnaedius and Dominaedius" words, used in the pagan epigrapfy.

Carminae Silare:
"Iancus Ianes duonus, dunus ianus"

CIL vol VIII
"Domno Saturno"

CIl II nr 4442
Iovi Domno

CIL 7833
Domno et Domnae on an inscription from Dacia

"Verhandl. d.k. sächs. Gesellsch. 1855, p. 108"
Domna Artemix

"Echkhrl, VII. 197"
Dona Sotera being the name of Proserpina ona a coin from the city of
Cyzic

There are personal names in Panonia as "Domna" and "Domnica". (CIL III),
there are personal names in Rom. "Domnica"
