From <titHe:mi> 'to place, lay down' (PIE *dHi-dHeh1-). <thema> (with the suffix -ma < *-mn.) meant 'that which is laid down' (or, figuratively, put forward for discussion, etc.). <thesis> (< *dHh1.-ti-) is another derivative of the same root.which is the ancient meaning of Greek "thema" and the etymology of this word ?
