Only in an indirect way, by tzârcovnic (kind of a ...
janitor of the church; by extension: also the "kantor"),
which is of far less importance. (Many Romanians
don't even know this term.)
NB: "biserica" means both church as a building and
church as the religious institution: Biserica Ortodoxa,
Biserica Romano-Catolica, Biserica Greco-Catolica,
Biserica Evanghelica-Lutherana, Biserica Baptista,
Biserica Anglicana etc.
