There's no phonemic (nor phonetic) contrast between <Cia> and <Ce> in
Lithuanian (both sequences represent /Ce/). In Slavic, *Cjo and *Ce
merged (to an accuracy of C's palatalization). Again, the usual source
for /ie/ is *ei (coexisting with /ie/ synchronically).
