[ye] makes the pronunciation easier at the beginning of a word,
in some cases. In this case, it doesn't (since it inserts a
supplementary articulatory movement), except for A.M.. Presence
of [y] in bad Romanian is not due to pronunciation easiness but
is a hyper-correct like idea (senseless generalization from words
with initial /e/ voiced [ye]).
